CD Design Brief
Design brief – Dub-step Album Design
Band Name: Bass Piracy
Target Audience demographic:
The age range of the target audience would be from 16-25 and a big majority of them would be male. Other genres that the audience would possibly listen to would include drum and bass, Grime, Bassline and Garage. The typical type of style and clothes that the target audience would have is Nike Air high-top trainers, designer jeans and designer long sleeve shirts either one plain colour or checker.
Imagery and colour schemes:
You would typically find CD covers of this genre to stand out and be bold. I think it is important to use a bold block colour like red, green or blue.
Typical imagery found on album covers of this genre normally include the DJ or artist(s) that feature on the CD.
Typefaces / Font styles :
The font styles of existing CD covers vary. For example on skrillex’s CD the font style is a serif font that is very arty and hard to read. In contrast to this the font style used by UKF is very basic and san-serif.
